<em>'Does any pub in the area compete with the excellent Prince Albert?'</em>

That is our (myself, John Glover and Lee Gillett) pub of choice though I am sure the younger element will disagree, it has a great atmosphere and you can actually hear yourself talk!

The new Hereward pub (Barracuda chain) in Market street opens in early June I think.

Cheers Martin. We're always pleased to see new faces at The Unwin Ground. For more information on the Robins, check out the club web-site (which I knock together) at:
www.elycityfc.com.

For anyone interested in my other web scribblings, try: www.collydrove.com

Nice piece of writing!

When I moved up to Ely from London last Summer I had every intention of supporting Ely FC and checking out all the home games. I even thought it would be fun to do some away games, a good chance to check out all some more great Fen pubs (does any pub in the area compete with the excellent Prince Albert?). But somehow I never got around to it, shame on me.

So, I will make an effort next season. I will get to the ground and support my local team.

I'm a lifelong Chelsea fan but the fun seems to have gone out of it...come on you Robins!
