The 2007 Ely Folk Festival takes place over the weekend of Friday 6th July - Sunday 8th July.

Each Ely Folk Festival is better than the last, with an impressive guest list and programme of workshops, concerts, displays, ceilidhs and children’s entertainment. The musicians appearing at the Ely Folk Festival reflect the rich diversity of the modern music scene, with a mixture of established favourites and newer talent.

Ticket pricing is yet to be confirmed but in previous years the following options have been available.

  • Club Tent - Bring your instruments sign up to play and perform in the Club tent, your chance to be discovered!
  • Real Ale Bar - Enough guest beers and ciders to tempt the most discerning palate with sessions and singarounds
  • Children’s’ entertainment - Saturday and Sunday we have storytelling, juggling, Jan and her amazing blackboard van
  • Ely Folk Festival 2007 is wheel chair friendly with reserved camping area, marquee area, ramp access to the dance floor, an accessible loo near the main marquee, we have been known to help in putting tents up – please advise when booking
  • The festival is based on a single site with on-site caravan and camping for season ticket holders and ample car parking space.
  • Morris displays on site and in town In keeping with our traditional roots, we will once again be welcoming some of the countries best sides, covering all Morris traditions
  • Workshops – your chance to learn from festival performers, who will be leading guitar, fiddle, bodhran, and many other workshops throughout the weekend. Also, don’t miss our French and African dance workshops.
  • Meet the artist sessions – up close and personal, a chance to meet some of the artists performing over the weekend
  • Free shuttle bus into town – regular service from Friday to Sunday evening

Parking & Transportation

There is limited on-site parking as well as Park & Ride at Ely Community College, Downham Rd.

There will also be a coach shuttle service.

The shuttle bus will run every 15/20 minutes from Market Street, Ely to the festival site between the following times:

  • Friday 6pm to Midnight
  • Saturday 9.30am to 5pm
    (the Park & Ride service will extend to the festival site)
  • Saturday 5pm to 12.15am
  • Sunday 10am to 10.30pm.

If you are feeling energetic you can always walk to the Ely Folk Festival and take in the surroundings.

From Ely Railway Station to Ely Folk Festival.
Approx 30 minute walk.

From Ely Bus Depot in Market Street to Ely Folk Festival
Approx 20 minute walk.
