Nutmeg are my all time favourite band simply because of the energy that they put into their live show, these sets were always energetic from there cleverly crafted own music to the covers of Velvet Underground and Led Zeppelin. They hold a special place in my memory.

The venue I mainly saw them was the Waterloo in Huntingdon, and saw them a few times in London, the last time in the Borderline off Totenham Court Road. Unfortunately I missed Tom and Rich's performance in their new group 'Something Else' at the Fordham music festival but I was lucky to see them a couple of years ago as a one off Nutmeg at the same festival.

I'm so glad that this footage has been found, I'm hoping that one day their recording output (And In England They're Going Mental; Why You Lie and Electric Putty) will be rediscovered and Nutmeg get the credit they deserve.I must play Electric Putty 3 times a week and never grow tired of it

I would love a copy of the video or any other audio if going.

Thanks

When time permits I plan to do an article on the Redmere Festival.

There is a lot of footage of the festival.

Even I was in one of the bands - Refugee, who later became into Crossland.

I saw Nutmeg as a gigging teenager in Bury St Edmunds - the Bring A Candle do at the Corn Exchange. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Blew every other band out the water, including a baby faced Jacobs Mouse and (miming) Rose Of Avalanche. My mate Mel from Newmarket was always on about them, and Black Candy (never saw or heard them). Got hold of Electric Putty a while later and listened to it constantly. Still do. Love Why You Lie.

If it wasn't for Mel and Nutmeg I'd have remained a proto crusty/metal head from Bury.

Interested in the Redmere Festival - moved to Redmere 18 months ago but promptly left after a dreadful year. Anyone with further info?

Nutmeg should have been stars: All that crap music on the air in the 1980s which I had to suffer as a teenager. Then seeing Nutmeg for the first time, what a top band. They were so sh*t hot - Great guitar sound, great songs and a front man who could outdo the likes of Iggy Pop and Mick Jagger. They just come about at the wrong time in history, if they had come around a couple of years later they may have made it around the time of Nirvana.

Strawberry fair 89 i think - best band to ever play midsummer common and should have played the world stage. My first gig was Iggy at the age of 15 and these boys gave him a run for his money!

Just seen the Stooges at Glasto so its not too late.....

REUNION!
