Asbestos compliance to be tackled

Inspections of local businesses in East Cambridgeshire has found only 30 per cent of firms are complying with asbestos regulations.
Officers from the Commercial Team in Environmental Services at East Cambridgeshire District Council and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) carried out targeted inspections of businesses within the District over the last few weeks.
After a targeted information drop to companies in Soham and Burwell, officers visited 26 premises – where only eight businesses were complying with the regulation
