Tackling the dangers of carbon monoxide

Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odourless, colourless gas, which can cause death. This December, Environmental Health Officers are trying to highlight the dangers of carbon monoxide, which is known as ‘the silent killer’.
The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and the Health Protection Agency (HPA), have provided new guidance to Environmental Health Officers at East Cambridgeshire District Council, to help reduce the chances of carbon monoxide poisoning when they carry out housing inspections.
