Council grant announcement made

East Cambridgeshire District Council heard yesterday that its Government Revenue Support Grant (RSG) for 2011/12 has been set at £5.6m, which then falls to £4.9m in 2012/13.
 
When looking solely at the RSG this equates to a cut of 17.8 per cent in the first year then 11 per cent in the second as the Council looks to fund the wide range of essential services the Council offers to residents from waste collection to licensing and leisure services.
